    ⚠️

All content on this page is a work in progress. Galactic Showdown is yet to be announced, and all elements of the format, organisation, scoring, and participating events are likely to change.

    Welcome to Galactic Showdown Victoria

Galactic Showdown Victoria (GSV) is a new Star Wars: Shatterpoint competitive circuit starting in 2026. The circuit consists of a series of competitive Shatterpoint events, and culminates at the end of the year in a final event to determine the circuit winner, who is crowned Victoria’s Galactic Champion for that year.

    Our Objectives

Grow the Shatterpoint Community We’ve seen great growth since the game released a few short years ago - but we can always do better!
Build Team Atmosphere Every player in the circuit can declare themselves for their local group or store, adding to the competition and comraderie!
Casual & Competitive Players are rewarded for both participation and victory - even if you’re not Victoria’s best, you’ve still got a reason to fight for victory!

    Circuit Structure

The GSV is split into two parts - the GSV League, and the Galactic Showdown Final.

    GSV League

The league consists of a number of events across Victoria. Each event is hosted by a local Tournament Organizer, and the structure of that event is up to that TO. The events for each year’s circuit are announced before the start of the circuit, so you’ll know when and where each event is taking place.

Each League Event you participate in will earn you Circuit Points (CP). The higher you finish, the more CP you’ll earn for yourself - and for your squadron (more on that below). As you play more events in the circuit, you’ll earn more and more CP.

At the conclusion of each circuit, the players with the highest CP are given the chance to compete in the Galactic Final competitive pool, where they can compete to be named the Victorian Galactic Champion.

Additionally, the winner of each GSV event earns a Hyperspace Key to the final - this is basically a golden ticket, granting you access to the final event regardless of your overall CP.

    Galactic Showdown Final

The Galactic Showdown Final is the pinnacle of the competition! The final itself caters to both competitive and casual players, and to do so is split into two competitions that happen in unison:

    Competitive Pool

The competitive pool is made up of 8 players. Firstly, all players who earned themselves a Hyperspace Key, and secondly the remaining players on the highest amount of Circuit Points.

Players in the competitive pool play four games of Premiere Showdown in Swiss Pairings. The winner at the end of the four games is crowned the Victorian Galactic Champion for that year. Prizes are awarded to the players in the competitive pool based on their final standing.

    Casual Pool

The casual pool is available for anyone to enter, regardless of their participation or performance in previous GSV events. This pool focuses on fun and good spirit over competition. Players will play four games of swiss pairings, with prizes awarded simply for participating in your games.

    Galactic Squadrons

    What are Squadrons?

Squadrons are simply a group of players who have decided to team up and try and earn points as a team! Think of them like you would a sports team in a league, or a clan or guild in a video game.

When a player participates in a GSV event, if they’re part of a squadron, they’ll also earn points for that squadron. Squadrons can earn additional prizes for participation and performance, so it’s a fun way to get some swag and claim some bragging rights, especially for players who aren’t at the top end of the competitive ladder.

    How to start a Squadron?

Anyone can start a squadron, but we’d recommend you form your squadron with players who you’re likely to attend events with. A registration link to register your squadron will be available later in the year.
